Finding Cigars With a History

Most people associate the classic, confident man with cigars, for various reasons. Movies and the media have a lot to do with it as iconic personalities such as Andy Garcia, Angelina Jolie and other personalities including Fidel Castro look extremely sexy with a smoke. Cigars are nothing but rolled tobacco, and so it is a wonder how it can do what it does to people.

Some people belittle the importance of the cigar to users. For some, however, it is nearly impossible to go without a cigar everyday. No self-respecting cigar lover would be without one when a special occasion arises.

For these characters, an opportunity to have a cigar with someone else is one of genuine moment. Cigars have become the basis of bonds on many occasions. They talk about the finest cigar brands and where they get them.

Cameroon is known for putting out excellent leaves. There are also high-quality varieties from Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Indonesia and the Philippines. These products make their way to America through less strict rules than those imposed on cigarettes; they are exempt from many of the distribution regulations implemented on the sales of cigarettes and are not required to mention health risks.

You can find cigars sold in just about every place in the US now. You have to go to a vendor who specializes in them to get the dearer ones, though. High-grade products may be obtained from high-class stores and vendors.

The most expensive cigars are those manufactured by Altadis, which is the largest cigar producer in the world. Altadis’s biggest markets are those in the United States, the Dominican Republic, and Honduras. Altadis also produces cigarettes.

Swedish Match, one more famous maker, is only trumped by Altadis when it comes to how big the company is. The US is only one of the countries in which Swedish Match has a presence. Snuff as well as pipe tobacco is offered by the company.

The Fuentes of the Dominican Republic also put out popular sticks. For literal decades now, the Fuentes have been producing amazing cigars like the Montesino. The brand's latest offering is the famous Fuente Fuente OpusX, a landmark in cigar production in the Dominican Republic.

Meanwhile, the oldest cigar manufacturer from the same Latin American country is the León family. They started over a century ago. A number of their sticks are nearly legendary already in fame, like the La Aurora.

There is no indication that cigars will ever go out of style. A lot of consumers do know that cigars can be quite dear and are luxury items. A good number of the great artists, politicians, and writers from the past smoked cigars, and you might just enjoy knowing that you relax the same way they do.
